With increased personnel and equipment, the Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department has reached the limit with their existing facilities.  The equipment and engines were housed in three separate buildings which are in need of repair. 

Building features include:

· Consolidate all operations into one building on-site.

·
 
6,000 square foot truck bay.


·
3,800 square feet of offices.


·
Fully applianced kitchen and community meeting room.


·
Durable masonry materials on the exterior and within truck bay for a low maintenance and long-
last facility.

· Energy efficient building envelope.

With increased personnel and equipment, the Grand Isle Volunteer Fire Department has reached the limit with their existing facilities.  

The department hired Wiemann Lamphere Architects to provide a design for a new fire and emergency operations center to go to bond vote.


Building features include:

· Durable masonry materials on the exterior and within the 6,800 square foot drive-thru truck bay.

· Energy efficient building envelope.

· Fully applianced kitchen and meeting room.

The Town of Windsor contracted with Wiemann Lamphere Architects to develop, program and design a municipal center from the shell of an underutilized high school which had succumbed to years of deferred maintenance.

Building features include:

· Recycled major portion of the existing school gymnasium for the recreation center.

· New addition for town offices, fire and police departments that consolidated them into one building.  

· Improved site circulation for pedestrians, employees and emergency vehicles.
